Soccer Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield lost against Portland back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets lost 5-1 to the Panthers. Springfield have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Diana Sanjines Cadena, who's now up to two this season.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for Portland, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Springfield wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, an 8-1 defeat against Macon County on the 4th. As for Portland, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, an 8-1 victory against Sycamore on the 2nd.
