Southwestern came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the North Crawford Trojans 55-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Southwestern's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for North Crawford, their loss ended an 18-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Southwestern Wildcats take on the Iowa-Grant Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Crawford, they will challenge Ithaca at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
