Basketball Recap: Adelson Takes a Loss

Adelson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 52-38 fall against the White Pine Bobcats. Adelson was not able to make up for their defeat to White Pine from their previous meeting back in January.

White Pine was led to victory by Matt Thompson and McCaul Nicholes. Thompson almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, while Nicholes posted nine points along with six assists and six rebounds. Those 14 points gave Thompson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mo Van Tassell, who put up nine points and five rebounds.

Adelson's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for White Pine, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Adelson will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on GV Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for White Pine, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-7 victory against Laughlin on the 21st.
