Basketball Recap: San Benito Finds Playoff Glory Versus Edinburg North

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but San Benito had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Edinburg North Cougars by a score of 49-41. The win continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josselyn Quintanilla, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards. Quintanilla is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games she's played. Yaneth Salinas was another key player, putting up 16 points.

San Benito's victory bumped their record up to 23-13. As for Edinburg North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-22.
