Meanwhile, Avon didn't have quite enough to beat Steele on Wednesday and fell 4-3. The Eagles have struggled against the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Avon Lake might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Avon in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Shoremen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
