Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Peyton Conley and Breea Birkhimer Lead Madonna to Victory

Madonna won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blue Dons walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lumberjacks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Dons.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Madonna took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13.

Madonna was led to victory by Breea Birkhimer and Peyton Conley. Birkhimer had eight digs and four aces, while Conley had five digs. That's the most digs Conley has posted since back in October of 2024.

Madonna's win bumped their record up to 18-8-1. As for Valley, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madonna will host Heartland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th.
