Soccer Game Preview: Pelion vs. Strom Thurmond

The Pelion Panthers will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Strom Thurmond Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Pelion duked it out with Saluda on Friday. Pelion took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saluda. Pelion have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Strom Thurmond put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on American Leadership Academy with a sharp 6-1 win. Considering Strom Thurmond have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit American Leadership Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sam Villamil (2), Eric Rivera (2), Anderson Escalante, and Helder Hernandez.

Pelion now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Strom Thurmond, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
