Volleyball Recap: Holy Cross Indians vs. Scott Eagles

Holy Cross lost against Scott back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Indians fell 3-1 to the Eagles.

While Holy Cross had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 20-25, 25-23.

Lacey Hunt paced Holy Cross' offense, picking up 16 kills. Hunt really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18.

Scott found their leader in sophomore Emory Sullivan, who had 19 digs and three assists. Sullivan has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Scott, they pushed their record up to 23-11 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Holy Cross has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Boone County on the 16th. As for Scott, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Simon Kenton on the 16th.
