LINDEN, Mich. - After three lead changes,
Linden (Mich.) took the lead for the win when
Cameron Cook kicked a field goal with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat
Swartz Creek (Mich.) 40-37 on Saturday.
After nabbing the lead on a touchdown run by
Marquavian Stephens, the Dragons went into halftime with a 22-15 lead. The Eagles took the lead to win the game on a field goal by Cook in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Linden still trailed by one point going into the fourth quarter. But 10 points in the fourth helped LHS pull out the victory.
The Eagles looked to be in trouble when they trailed by 19 points before coming back to beat Swartz Creek.
The loss was the third in a row for SC.
