Basketball Recap: Falkner Drops Highest Score of Season Against Biggersville

Falkner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Biggersville Lions, falling 71-50. On the bright side, the 50- point performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Jordan Guerrero and Malakhi Nunley certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Guerrero dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards, while Nunley posted 13 points. Guerrero continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Morgan, who had eight points.

Falkner's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Biggersville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Falkner will venture away from home to square off against Pine Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Biggersville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 12-0 win against McAdams on the 6th.
