Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Wildcats are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 79-38 loss at the hands of San Joaquin Memorial. The Patriots were down 55-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Bullard will need focus on slowing down Pamir Olivier, one of several Hoover players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Harris, who earned seven points.

Bullard has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Everything came up roses for Bullard against Hoover in their previous meeting last Wednesday, as the team secured a 79-45 win. In that game, Bullard amassed a halftime lead of 38-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
