Baseball Recap: Alto's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Frankston, Alto was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the New Summerfield Hornets a 22-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellowjackets considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Alto's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for New Summerfield, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alto is set to face off against their familiar foe Cushing at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, New Summerfield will square off against rival Mt. Enterprise at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
