Recap: North Miami Warriors vs. Lewis Cass Kings

The North Miami Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. The match between North Miami and Lewis Cass wasn't particularly close, with North Miami falling 46-31. While losing is never fun, North Miami can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Lewis Cass is ranked 77th).

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaiden Hanley, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Hanley is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laney Musall, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

It was another big night for Kinsey Mennen, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks for Lewis Cass. Another player making a difference was Aftin Griffin, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

North Miami has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Lewis Cass, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Miami will face off against Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday. As for Lewis Cass, they will head out on the road to challenge Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Taylor has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.
