IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) ended its season two weeks ago, but it still holds the No. 1 position in the MaxPreps South Region Football Computer Rankings.

IMG Academy is an independent school and thus ineligible for the Florida state playoffs. It holds a slight lead over DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.).

Male (Louisville, Ky.) showed the most improvement this week, going from No. 16 to No. 5 while Hoover (Ala.) made a similar jump, going from No. 19 to No. 8.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The South region includes teams from Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
