Preview: Chesterfield Golden Rams vs. Central Eagles
Chesterfield is 2-7 against Central since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Chesterfield Golden Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Central Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Chesterfield is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Chesterfield never got on the board in their last matchup, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Buford last Friday. Chesterfield walked away with a 34-21 win over Buford.
Meanwhile, Central took a serious blow against Andrew Jackson on Friday, falling 47-8. Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
With Chesterfield's win and Central's loss, both teams now sport identical 2-6 records.
Chesterfield was dealt a bruising 41-0 loss at the hands of Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can Chesterfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
