Baseball Game Preview: Berlin Indians vs. Plymouth Panthers

Berlin is 0-8 against Plymouth since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Indians will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 4:45 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Berlin took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Manawa as they made off with a 9-2 victory. The Indians not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2024 (when they won 12-2).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Plymouth duked it out with Ripon on Monday. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Plymouth saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Krebsbach, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Those three hits gave Krebsbach a new career-high.

Berlin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Plymouth, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-6.

Berlin couldn't quite finish off Plymouth in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
