Softball Recap: Whitmer Comes Up Short

Whitmer managed to slip by Perrysburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 14-3 to the Yellow Jackets on Monday. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Whitmer saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Munoz, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another was Raegan Lapoint, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Whitmer's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Perrysburg, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Whitmer will square off against Bedford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perrysburg, they will welcome Northview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
