Recap: Veritas Christian Academy Warriors vs. Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors
The Veritas Christian Academy Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 30 points or more this season. They breezed by Lake Lure Classical Academy on the road to the tune of 59-11. The win was a breath of fresh air for Veritas Christian Academy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Veritas Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaitlyn Miller led the charge by scoring two points along with nine assists and six rebounds. Miller is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Sloan Nichols was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Veritas Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Veritas Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Statesville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they will square off against University Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
