Shelby Valley waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They had just enough and edged out the Pike County Central Hawks 8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-6 back in April.

Shelby Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-15. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Pike County Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelby Valley will welcome Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pike County Central, they will be playing at home against Paintsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
