Recap: Bayard Tigers vs. Gordon-Rushville Mustangs
The Bayard Tigers's five-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They secured a 38-32 W over Gordon-Rushville. This was payback for Bayard, who suffered a 68-26 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Bayard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Posey, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Sam Ferrero, who scored eight points.
Bayard's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Gordon-Rushville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayard and Morrill will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Morrill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday. As for Gordon-Rushville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hay Springs on Tuesday. Hay Springs will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
