Basketball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Rockwall-Heath's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Rockwall-Heath unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the University Trojans, falling 75-50. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.

Despite the loss, Rockwall-Heath still got an impressive performance from Kaleb Turner-Dicus, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 22 points and three steals. Turner-Dicus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Jackson, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Rockwall-Heath smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Rockwall-Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for University, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.

Rockwall-Heath didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-49 loss against San Angelo Central on the 28th. As for University, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-60 defeat against College Park on the 27th.
