Softball Recap: Meyersdale Comes Up Short

If Meyersdale was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Northern Bedford County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Raiders came up short against the Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 10-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Meyersdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendell Donaldson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meyersdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meyersdale will face off against Rockwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, they will take on Southern Huntingdon County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
