Softball Recap: Erskine Academy Comes Up Short

Lincoln Academy hit Erskine Academy with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Erskine Academy fell 8-4 to Lincoln Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lincoln Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Friday.

Adalyn Glidden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Jilian Desjardins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lillian Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Erskine Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lincoln Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
