Softball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winner Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 12-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Wagner got a big performance out of Bella Kotab, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Libby Kotab was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

Wagner's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Red Raiders beat Winner by a score of 10-4 later that day.
