Baseball Recap: Millard South Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Millard South proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 14) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted against the Silver Hawks since April 22, 2022.

Blake McAndrews was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory (which was Millard South's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average this season. As for Lincoln Southwest, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
