Football Recap: Strawberry Crest Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lennard, Strawberry Crest was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Leto Falcons get on the board and left with a 25-0 victory. Considering the Chargers have won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Strawberry Crest found their leader in sophomore Zoe Surrency, who threw for 169 yards and three TDs.

Strawberry Crest's run defense was locked in: Leto could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Emerald Swain for the heroic effort on defense: he made five total tackles. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in February.

Strawberry Crest is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.1 points on average over those games. As for Leto, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Coming up, Strawberry Crest will face off against Bloomingdale at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Leto, they will head out to square off against Alonso at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
