Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Ty Johnson stepped things up a notch to give Covington the 'W'. Johnson was unstoppable, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

Coming up, Johnson and Covington will head out on the road to challenge Italy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Covington hasn't beaten Italy recently, having gone 0-5 since March of 2015.
