Baseball Game Preview: Alexandria-Monroe Tigers vs. Wes-Del Warriors

The Alexandria-Monroe Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Wes-Del Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Alexandria-Monroe's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four games, but Monday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lapel hit Alexandria-Monroe with a four-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 10-2 to the Bulldogs.

Alexandria-Monroe saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landyn Fletcher, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Meanwhile, Wes-Del had just enough and edged out Eastern Hancock 3-2 on Friday.

Wes-Del's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Alexandria-Monroe skirted past Wes-Del 5-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
