Football Recap: Triton Takes a Loss

If Triton was riding high fresh off their 43-14 takedown of Middle Township last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 28-14 bruising from the Cherry Hill East Cougars on Friday. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Mustangs couldn't quite close it out.

Josh Greenberg had an outrageously good game for Cherry Hill East as he rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 127 yards and one TD while completing 72.7% of his passes. Ryan Moyer was in the mix as well, providing the Cougars with two scores.

Triton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cherry Hill East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Triton has already played their next matchup, a 26-7 victory against Atlantic County Institute of Tech on the 19th. As for Cherry Hill East, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-0 win against Egg Harbor Township on the 19th.
