Volleyball Recap: Thomas A. Edison Falls Despite Big Games from Jayden Rios and Jeremy Dejesus-Perez

Thomas A. Edison lost against Northeast back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Owls fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Thomas A. Edison sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-7.

Thomas A. Edison's loss came despite strong showings from Jeremy Dejesus-Perez and Jayden Rios. Dejesus-Perez had 21 digs and one assist, while Rios had eight digs. Dejesus-Perez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Thomas A. Edison now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Northeast, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Thomas A. Edison has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Creative & Performing Arts on the 13th. As for Northeast, they will host George Washington at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
