Lakota Tech took a serious blow against Dakota Valley, falling 85-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lakota Tech has scored all season.
Several Tatanka players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gilbert White Jr., who scored ten points along with three steals. Treyton Sam was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
It was another big night for Jaxson Wingert, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds for Dakota Valley. Wingert is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 21 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Collette, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Lakota Tech now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Dakota Valley, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with that win, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.
Lakota Tech will take on St. Francis Indian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Lakota Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. As for Dakota Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Groton at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Dakota Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
