Baseball Recap: Lake Mary Gets the Win

Lake Mary won the last time they faced Key West and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lake Mary Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Key West Conchs. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly two runs.

Lake Mary is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Key West and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Mary will host Oviedo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Key West, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against John Carroll Catholic at 7:30 p.m.
