Belleville East proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 43) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Edwardsville Tigers 49-47. The win was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Belleville East is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Edwardsville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.
