Softball Recap: Farwell Comes Up Short

Farwell lost against Meridian on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles lost 13-3 to the Mustangs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Farwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacey Stover, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Farwell's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Meridian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farwell will venture away from home to challenge Standish-Sterling at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meridian, they will face off against Frankenmuth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
