Hillsboro won the last time they faced Cane Ridge and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Burros put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp  14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Burros, who have now won 13 games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
  Justin Umares was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  run. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ben Clay, who  earned two  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
Hillsboro is  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Cane Ridge, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16-1 record  this season.
 Hillsboro will square off against Overton at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Burros' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.5  runs per game this season. Cane Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
