Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 55-47 to the Bucktail Bucks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-43 back in December of 2024.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Bucktail, they moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Austin has already played their next match, a 79-28 defeat against Cameron County on the 21st. As for Bucktail, they will head out on the road to take on Juniata Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bucktail is facing Juniata Christian at the right time seeing as Juniata Christian is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
