Baseball Game Preview: South Florence Bruins vs. Wilson Tigers

For the second straight game, South Florence will face off against Wilson. The Bruins will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m.

South Florence's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Wilson 17-0. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Robinson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because South Florence is 8-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Robinson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, South Florence got a massive performance out of Khalon McGee, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases McGee has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Cohen Springs, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The win snapped South Florence's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-8 record. As for Wilson, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
