Volleyball Recap: Crystal City Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If Carrizo Springs wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Crystal City, they should've done a better job of containing Alyssa Flores. The Javelinas came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Flores, who had 20 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Crystal City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-9.

Crystal City has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Javelinas beat Carrizo Springs by a score of 3-0 on Friday.
