Soccer Recap: University Prep Value Comes Up Short

After flying high against Community Charter last Tuesday, University Prep Value came back down to earth. The University Prep Value Wolves lost 4-1 to the Diego Rivera Huskies on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wolves came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Huskies are ranked 406th).

University Prep Value's goal came courtesy of Anthony Flores, who's now up to 11 this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, University Prep Value fell to 6-1-1. As for Diego Rivera, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

After both having extra time off, University Prep Value and Neuwirth Leadership Academy will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 3:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Diego Rivera, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Santee at 4:15 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
