Basketball Game Preview: Discovery Titans vs. Social Circle Redskins

The Discovery Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Social Circle Redskins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Discovery got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 61-60 victory over Dacula.

Meanwhile, Social Circle narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Osborne 56-54.

Discovery better keep an eye on Tykeieryon Green. He was instrumental in Social Circle's win, going 7 of 13 on his way to 21 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Leson Nelson, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Social Circle was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Discovery's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Social Circle, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
