Basketball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

After flying high against Western Wayne last Friday, Riverside came back down to earth. The Riverside Vikings fell just short of the Holy Cross Crusaders by a score of 60-57 on Sunday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vikings have suffered since January 15, 2024.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 21-2. As for Holy Cross, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Riverside has already played their next contest, an 80-58 win against Dunmore on the 22nd. As for Holy Cross, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 86-47 victory against Lakeland on the 19th.
