Soccer Recap: Cornerstone Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Alexander on Saturday, Cornerstone Christian came back down to earth. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Los Fresnos Falcons who were credited with the victory on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Falcons are ranked 217th).

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-3. As for Los Fresnos, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Cornerstone Christian will take on East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Los Fresnos, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against United on the 18th.
