Softball Recap: South Central Satellites vs. Jimtown Jimmies

South Central owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jimtown Jimmies and snuck past 2-0. South Central's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Lexi Johnson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Johnson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season. Johnson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Johnson wasn't the only one making solid contact as one players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Grace Shukitis, who went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.

On Jimtown's side, Kiyla Eberhart spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Jimtown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Winrott, who went 1-for-2 with a double.

South Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Jimtown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
