Soccer Recap: Airport Comes Up Short

Airport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the North Augusta Yellow Jackets, falling 4-0. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Yellow Jackets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Airport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Augusta, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Airport will venture away from home to challenge Aiken at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Augusta, they will take on Gilbert at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Gilbert will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Augusta surely won't give up without a fight.
