On the bright side, the five- run performance marked Mount Pisgah Christian Academy's highest-scoring contest to date.

Maryville Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Maryville Christian's way against Mount Pisgah Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Maryville Christian made off with a 23-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
