Softball Recap: SA S' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Leakey back in March, SA S came back down to earth. The Saints lost 12-5 to the Sacred Heart Indians on Tuesday. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

A Garcia stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run while going 2-for-4. M Zinsmeyer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, SA S fell to 4-1. As for Sacred Heart, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. SA S will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Moulton at 12:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Sacred Heart, they will head out to take on St. Paul at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
