Volleyball Recap: Jadea James' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Liberty Christian Academy over Rocky Mount Academy

Liberty Christian Academy lost against Rocky Mount Academy back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Heat fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Heat have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Liberty Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 10-25, 15-11.

Several Heat players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jadea James, who had 17 kills, nine digs, and three aces. James is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Sam Hearn was another key player, getting 30 assists and eight digs.

Liberty Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Liberty Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Harrells Christian Academy on the 25th. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Greenfield on the 25th.
