Softball Recap: Marais des Cygnes Valley Comes Up Short

If Marais des Cygnes Valley was riding high fresh off their 21-11 takedown of Lyndon on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans lost 15-7 to the Tigers on Monday. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 21-11.

Akyra Traver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 15 times she's played. Taytum Gellhaus was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Marais des Cygnes Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lyndon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
