Volleyball Recap: Cascade Takes a Loss

Cascade suffered their biggest defeat since September 19, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Plainfield Quakers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cadets of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-15.

Allie Weigle paced Cascade's offense, picking up 11 kills. Weigle got some help from Lacie Godby and her 13 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Taylor Donovan, who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cascade has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Mooresville on the 20th. As for Plainfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Whiteland on the 19th.
