Football Recap: Benton/Scales Mound IL/Shullsburg Comes Up Short

Despite the defeat, Benton/Scales Mound IL/Shullsburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Connor Doyle rushed for 140 yards and one TD. Doyle also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Even if they lost, Benton/Scales Mound IL/Shullsburg's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Logan Grunenwald with two.
